Living and working community (WAG)
A home away from home in a protected environment
Women and men who are dependent on assisted living and a sheltered workplace find a home in the affiliated residential and work community for a shorter or longer period of their lives. We support these people in their everyday private and professional lives.
We accept people into the WAG who have health, mental, cognitive or social impairments. The prerequisite is cost regulation, e.g. via an IV pension and supplementary benefits. Living in the WAG is not suitable for people with acute addiction problems, care needs or if they are at risk from others or themselves. Up to nine adults live in the Sunnehus living and working community.
At WAG Sunnehus, we support our residents in all areas of life.
Living
- Independent living, e.g. design and maintenance of personal and shared living space
- Shared responsibility, e.g. distribution of tasks in the household of the residential group, active participation in WAG meetings
- Promotion of relationship skills within the WAG through joint activities, e.g. cooking, excursions, games and group discussions Work
- Work and activity program geared to the individual abilities and needs of the residents
- Increase self-confidence, independence, technical and operational competence
- Awakening and supporting creativity and initiative
Leisure time
- Regular group activities to promote social skills
- Individual support and advice from the caregiver
- Voluntary participation in the activities offered by the spa and education center: Workshops, community events, courses, lectures
- joint vacation weeks per year
We offer
- Psychosocial, socio-educational, medical and therapeutic care and support
- Structural employment opportunities and specialist support in various work areas of the Sunnehus health and education center: housekeeping, laundry, kitchen, service, garden, office
- Varied leisure activities
